Its in my dvd tray! It's trying to play it!!!!! Out of the fox seasons and onto TBS. It was more noticeable when swearing became commonplace.

I remember listening to the Scary Movie 3 director's commentary because I was bored and the internet was not a ubiquitous thing in Germany in the mid 2000's and them spending a considerable amount of time explaining how to have a PG-13 rating they were only allowed one "gently caress". This led to a bunch of meetings and time spent deciding were to spend their one "gently caress". I think the scene they chose was the best they had available but just lol at the concept of multiple meetings and cuts in order to meet the 1 "gently caress" requirement set by the MPAA.

It's true, for a PG-13 rating you're allowed exactly one gently caress. A lot of the other content rules are nebulous and open to interpretation but the gently caress Rule is ironclad, if you have more than one it's automatically an R rating.

There is a documentary from I would say around 10 years ago called ‘This Film Is Not Yet Rated’ about them and all of their arbitrary rulings.

The arbitrary and changing standards led to a lot of fun in the 80s. Could be watching a PG movie from the 70s with your parents and all of a sudden you have multiple sets of tits on screen.

Yup, I remember Robin Hood Prince of Thieves being completely safe for kids outside of a little bit of blood and then Christian Slater goes "gently caress me!". What? That was always fun, sitting next to your parents and then boobs when you're 8. The_Doctor posted:Yes. God, Gwen’s hot. Like Porno Hot. That's actually the next episode on my rewatch. I'm kinda surprised they didn't get like Tera Patrick or some other popular Asian porn star to voice her. Wait, Tera Patrick hasn't been relevant since like 2004, well at least I didn't say Asia Carrera or something.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Ryan Murphy are doing a limited Netflix series about Glenn Burke, Dusty Baker and the first high five. Apparently it will mostly focus on Glenn Burke who was the first MLB player to come out as gay.

Has anyone else here watched MODOK? For some reason, the comedic rhythms and even the word choices feel very Roger Smith, if not generally AD itself. I wonder if there's a lot of writer overlap.
