I just want people to appreciate that near all of his early flight photos feature that hat. Do you think he just straight up glued it to his head? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnbKZOG2gII&t=25s nomad2020 fucked around with this message at 18:38 on Oct 24, 2021 |

I think you could get various comb like things that anchor in your hair so you can stay properly hatted on vehicles or in inclement weather without feminine hat pins or unsightly chin straps.

you'd leave it on long enough for it to bond to your hair and scalp

packetmantis posted:They say this, but when I broke my ankle (the first time! broke the other one right after that healed) they had to redo my cast because it was too tight and my toes were turning blue, and the guy accidentally bumped my leg with that thing and it hurt like gently caress, like a friction burn. It felt fine the subsequent times so I always wondered if it was because of swelling or whatever. I've cut a few casts off in my time. The cutting edge isnt sharp and cuts using oscillation / vibration so it is only meant to be able to cut through hard stuff. Swollen skin is both firmer and more sensitive than normal so it was probably a combination of the two in your case. Whenever I was removing a cast on a kid I would always buzz my arm with the cast saw to show it wouldn't cut them. The worst I managed was a red mark.

That's a matrimony right there. Use of actual fire instead of a mask like normal goddamn person to sterilize potential pathogen spread is a risk factor I'll grant you that, but I'll allow it

Yeah I have several casts removed from my legs and it has always been a vibratory saw, although they usually lay a piece of surgical tubing along the length of the cast (against the skin under the cast) where the cut will be made. I guess that is probably because they were temporary and not supportive.

This one is p nuts, and has me asking a question I had squarely pegged for the tinfoil corner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tOcUyakk0Q Is your idiot neighbor shooting you with high power invisible infrared lasers?

It’s now possible to buy 510 or 515 nm LASER pointers that produce green light directly and work in the cold without issue.

Whew, what a relief. That's probably for sure what my idiot neighbor has bought, and not the cheap dangerous stuff!

Holy loving oooof; it'd be almost funny if that dude wasn't undeniably extremely injured or dead. I can't imagine that 800 lbs of branch striking you square in the face hard enough to launch you off a ladder ever ends well even with the best of luck.

My work truck broke down so I'm driving a different one. It's a Penske truck the owner bought cheap because someone did a can opener on the box. Now I don't know the proper process to attaching a new box to a frame but I'm not convinced this is the way. Spray foam and bolts directly into the box. The wall behind the seats is the front wall of the box. Cab is nice though.
