Battles described at the hand-to-hand level rather than describing large-scale troop movements, that sort of thing. So I read it while specifically watching for that, and I guess I did notice quite a bit of it, but it stuck out less than I thought it would. And it was far from a hard-and-fast rule, there was plenty of birds-eye view stuff and out-of-timeline narrative. But the fact that someone identified it to me that way I guess means it would have precedent (other than GOT) for the show to do it that way too.

I wonder if they'll do different sorts of movements for channeling for men and woman. With woman doing more graceful/flowing movements to go with their style of control for the One Power and men doing more direct, forceful movements for how they control saidin

I like that the whitecloaks are more dangerous than in the books. Saw some crying on twitter and yt about emotional Lan but Rafe's explanation about thats not his emotions but Moiraine's works for me. Shienar and the Aiel look sick as gently caress. Trailer is good, show will be good.
