Anyway, I have advised my colleagues to check their message rules just in case.
Top one could be a self-defence thing, like if you e-mailed someone about the redirect it'd get deleted?

But a whois lookup on that domain comes up with a real person's details, and that real person's Linkedin says that they're a Financial Services Representative for a large legit organisation, which honestly only raises more questions :iiam:

The funny thing is I was getting forwarded bounce-back emails so hm, not sure how that worked!

You might have missed this bit of discussion earlier:

https://www.welivesecurity.com/2021/06/15/microsoft-takes-down-large-scale-bec-operation/

“These forwarding rules allowed attackers to redirect financial-themed emails to the attacker-controlled email addresses ex@exdigy DOT net and in@jetclubs DOT biz. The attackers also added rules to delete the forwarded emails from the mailbox to stay stealthy,” Microsoft explained.

Lol, this is just after I had an evening out with friends because I was frankly going to have a breakdown if I didn't go and socialise in person. Hopefully I'm just swimming in other diseases that'll give my immune system a gentle workout.

Never mind though, it's now back to a relatively hermit-y life for a bit.

Heck, I'd still call 999. They bought a monitor and it told them they were in danger. The response to that should be to call 999, not to go, "Oh, maybe it's a cheap monitor" and ignore it.

It's all cool. She phoned NHS111 in the early hours why I waited, and has since spoken to a doctor and has been prescribed something to take for 5 days to help ease the chest as well as an antibiotic to stave off any infection. I guess her SpO2 is naturally low, as the GP didn't seem too concerned by the current readings. She's also borrowing a much more expensive monitor so she can see if the one she has was giving correct readings.

Which is sort of the point of not calling things Canary Wharf that aren't Canary Wharf.

The whole reason the IRA bombed South Quay - killing two acquaintances of mine and leaving my mate's dad paralysed and brain damaged (shop workers and a mini cab driver before some tedious oval office tells me how they were somehow deserving of it for being bourgeoisie) is because Canary Wharf have their own private security force and border control, which after the first attempt to bomb Canary Wharf proper effectively shut down two thirds of the roads between the IoD and the outside world so they can be safe and secure and gently caress everyone else.

It is a capitalist Green Zone slapped down in some of the most deprived areas of the country so I'm not being performatively touchy about this - it's bad enough that LBTH bowed to landlord pressure by renaming Millwall ward to Canary Wharf (particularly as Canary Wharf pays no council tax and very low business rates) but by misnaming the area in this context it really does feel like a slap in the face.

You scan in with your phone. All of the shelves detect weight changes so it knows if you have lifted anything. It monitors you with cameras. Dunno what happens if someone puts food out on the wrong shelf or you need to return stuff, or it charges you wrong. Argue with the computer I guess.

Having just finished working at a shop where the main fusebox was next to the cargo lift (that doesn't level out properly (the passenger lift is barricaded shut)) and had a helpful big sign on it saying "the wiring colours in this panel conform to two different versions of BS7671, please be extremely careful making any alterations, the panel must be regularly inspected, last inspection 2013, next inspection due 2018" I am sure that the shop that requires extremely carefully calibrated weight sensors on everything is going to work really well a year from now.

I'm guessing the argument for this tech is simply that if the cost of having staff exceeds the cost of technical glitches and shoplifting then it's worth it to fully automate.
