Another way to look at it is that his past is nothing but a bunch of cliches because that is what it is- something that's hollow and meaningless to him now except as nostalgic memories, but that he can't avoid. That Spike dies there. It's just a question as to whether Spike lived. All the loneliness of that ending is all really because he isn't there anymore, tying everyone together.

I was watching something on my smart tv in the youtubes and an ad popped up that is straight up just a full 26 minute episode of cardfight vanguard - but it’s not subtitled. it’s a YouTube ad. and the way my Roku tv’s YouTube application works I can’t hit up to see the advertiser or anything. this seems poorly thought out, but idk cardfight vanguard must just print money if they’re burning it serving half hour foreign language ads to Americans I am… bewildered? and sort of sad. before I clued into it being for a gacha card game I saw “studio clamp” pop up and xxxHolic / Rayearth / Cardcaptor Sakura were all sort of interesting - but nope! it’s just a very involved gacha ad wolfs has issued a correction as of 07:55 on Nov 5, 2021 |

I play melty blood, I read my characters move list, I wonder what the hell a "reality marble" is. I spend 10 hours on the type moon wiki. I'm now most of the way through fate/zero and I feel like I'm only going more insane.

Honestly, the sex scenes in Fate are no different from the sex scenes in your average doorstopper airport novel in frequency, quality, and relevance. In fact, Fate itself is basically just an airport thriller with a soundtrack.

I just binged through season 1 of Golden Kamuy with my anime buddy and was kind of disappointed. We were both really into it for the first few episodes, but towards the end we both felt that a lot of the more serious, grounded tone had been exchanged for standard goofy antics (ESPECIALLY the last two episodes, the hotel and racetrack ones). Do the second and third seasons maintain the same tone as the end of season 1, or do they course correct and get a little more serious again? How does the manga compare?

If you're not enjoying the overwhelming homoerotic humor in Golden Kamuy then I don't know what to say. Except to call you a bigot.  Golden Kamuy really has one season and one half season. What you think is the end of the first season is really the half way point of the Nopperabu arc.

I've rewatched Millenium Actress to see if it's as good as I remebered, haven't seen it in years. Ya, it's good. poo poo, probably one of the best movies ever made. I only now noticed that one of Chiyoko's early samurai films in the beginning is pretty much one big Throne of Blood reference. Satoshi Kon really did not miss, rip king.

Watched the Netflix GITS, and while I agree with a lot of the criticism, seeing the band back together with proper character design after the ARISE pilot figuratively made me throw my computer across the room felt really good. It coasts on nostalgia for SAC, but that's better than nothing.
