Wow. Lowtax was a funny and talented guy and while he got lazy and unfunny later in life, the fact remains he brought me lots of laughs. Doom House still cracks me up just thinking about it. And while Lowtax did monstrous things I believe in the chance for forgiveness and repentance and it’s a shame he died young, even if odds are he was too stubborn and proud to better himself. The tragedy of death is in part that. Lowtax will never be better than he was, and what he was wasn’t very good. It sucks but it is what it is and there is no one to blame but himself for the fact his legacy will largely be ‘wifebeater’ rather then ‘funny dude.’

Posting for posterity. Wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the fact that lowtax was an internet man and made an internet website for us to access. He made this website and he did terrible things and then he died. goondolences.

Well I just watched the recent Curb Your Enthusiasm where Albert Brooks decided to host a living funeral so he could hear what people say about him if he had died, so Rich: I really enjoyed the front page back in '99, then it was nice chatting with you on AIM about video editing back in the late-oughts. I thought highly of you for a good while, and even though you squandered the respect you earned, the legacy of what you worked on will hopefully long outlive you among a gradually diminishing but grateful amount of nerds.
