anyone over the age of 30 and still Online is almost certainly a goon. it was pretty much the most known website de jour of anyone with an internet connection in the early 2000s; shared amongst your middle or high school class mates loading it up on the lovely library computer. wide swath of podcasters, half the people on twitter, even a lot of reddit and gaming communities were more than likely goons. most likely lurker-goons though.
