It was more then 10 days for me when I took the booster. Doctor thinks that plus the flu shot at the same time just destroyed my immune system.

I guess I understand why but it still seems dumb that the excellent credit i had when I bought my car was slightly lowered when the account closed because I paid it off in full.

Ruined my credit in the last decade doing goon poo poo, raised it 100 points this year, it still sucks but I’m almost to good. Very proud of my imaginary numbers.

My wife and I only have 1 credit card each and my credit reports always say my credit is hurt because I don't have more. It's all arbitrary bullshit other than tracking that you pay off stuff you owe. That I get.

My dad is American and tried to get a good credit score in Germany by just taking out meaningless credits, unaware of the fact that that's not how it works. Here at least. I've never heard someone worry about their credit score in my entire life. I don't even know that's a thing beyond being entered into one of several databases if you repeatedly don't pay your bills.

I miss being on my honeymoon in coastal New England, drinking room service mimosas every morning and walking through 1600s graveyards every night. It was a lot colder there too, which was nice because it’s November and it shouldn’t be 67 goddamn degrees outside. Massachusetts is God’s country.

Good credit makes it easier to acquire large debts like vehicles or property or businesses. Property and business owners are huge vestments of political will in the USA. Of course the kinds of things that bring credit down are more common to those with less income, who also of course in this country are minorities. Somehow, someway, this system has managed to survive and become a symbol of status in our otherwise egalitarian, progressive society. I have never ever looked at my credit rating but I'm confident it's dogshit. I'm pretty sure I still owe my bank for an overdraft but I just moved & never updated it for that account (did for another with the same bank that doesn't have any overdraft capability) and they have never bothered contacting me about it over a decade later so figure I won't worry about I again until I win the lottery or a secretly wealthy family member dies & gives me all their money. This isn't the only example of why my credit rating would be so poo poo that I'll never ever bother looking at it but it's certainly a big one. Fortunately I was already resigned to never owning a house until my parents die.
