A huuuuuuge number of things aren't in that tab, but are in the reclaim tab under reps, which itself is a huge pain in the dick to find.

edit: and a lot of consoles are basically on the ship, so to get it back you just open a new copy of that ship.

There's a reclaim tab under reps? I definitely can't find it.

Feels like going to the reclaim tab just gives me more questions

Like - I have no idea why I can reclaim some of these right now but not others. I think I have a copy of all of these with my character- most of them sitting in my bank, but the revolutionary set is sitting in my active shuttle. So weird that I can reclaim some of it now, versus others grey'd out.

And more confusing that the reclaim tab seems to have everything that could ever be reclaimed by anyone, even things like winter wonderland rewards that I never participated in...

And those things tend to be split between the Promotions tab, the Legacy Unlocks tab, and sometimes other places just for fun. Like the Leeta doff that was a convention reward is under Items, not Promotions or Duty Officers. Oh, and the Cryptic 20th Anniversary pack which is in Mudd's market even though it was a free promotion.

When I came back a little over a year ago, I had to roll up a new character and play them in to 60 just to re-orient myself enough to go back to the 60 I had that I wanted to keep playing

Do you have to do anything or can you just drive off into a corner at the start and come back fifteen minutes later?

Fly straight forward at the start to get to the first shipyard and make sure you inflict at least one point of damage on one of the ships at the shipyard (you will almost certainly blow one of them up if you fire a full volley at it), then you can just just come to a full stop and die and walk away and it'll pop after ~20 minutes.

There's some UI goofiness where it'll show the date of the new event from time to time- but if you click between the red alert, event, and season tabs, it'll correct itself. I'm pretty sure the event will close tomorrow no matter what the window says.

Just went through and unpacked/mastered the felkiri ships from the past winter events, along with the warship. Now I have a bunch of fire traits and 3 fire related consoles along with that additional console from the Klingon civil war.

Thinking about what else could go in a gimmick fire ship? I have a phlogiston projector, so it’ll have to be an escort. Also need to use hangar pets I assume…so I guess an Akira?

I wish I had more breen stuff too and maybe I could do a fire and ice gimmick? Sadly I’m several Phoenix tokens away from that

Are there any hints or whatnot about what the Pegasus Class is going to be like? Marrone posted the art on it on twitter and it'll presumably get out to players eventually, it's a 'more tactically focused Andromeda-Class' so maybe it'll lead to us getting a Galaxy that sucks slightly less.

(Sadly I doubt they'll give it the hanger all six-turn ships need, since that'd just make it a Gal-X)

I also bring grave news, party balls no longer compel people to opt out of dancing

I guess it only took them six years or so

e: also the party guns have a significantly diminished sound radiance so gone are the days where you could annoy people loving with their ships by filling the transporter room with goofy sounds. The good news is that the elachi pet still makes an incredible amount of noise

Party poppers sucked after they were nerfed by a former community manager after we used them to enhance his livestream.

Specifically you use to be able to move and use them. Spray a moving target if you will. The balloon poppers were the best because moving while using one had an interesting feature where the spaceship balloons would then come out giant sized. Also the stuff that came out used to persist a lot longer. Used to be able to grind K7 to a standstill framerate by completely filling the shipyard holo emitter table thingie with ship balloons, and they all had a physics interaction which killed the whole instance. Good times.

Most you can really do now is stand around with a custom costume using eye watering colors and the largest non combat pet you can find.

^^ I'm pretty sure this is the new normal for Mudd's bundles. 4 ships choices in a "choose 3" bundle for $300, or everything in a $600 bundle, both half off when it first comes out. And I suspect the Kelvin bundle might have been extra generous with ships just to get players used to the idea.

Oh, I wish. It's not the lobi Son'a ship with the meta torp trait. It's the Son'a Command Science Vessel, which does at least have a meta sci trait.

If I recall correctly, no--but it's been a while since I ran an Aux2Batt. It's very fun however. Slot the highest rank of Aux2Batt that you can.

The main thing you want is two copies of your main damage ability--either FAW or CRF. You'll also want to maximize cooldown reduction on your boff abilities, which is mainly done through purple doffs, but that's typical for any build attempting to min-max.

Unrelated- but also trying to figure out what boff power or console does this- every once in a while I see someone using a power that hits every ally around them with a bright beam (I think it's green) for a few seconds and seems to be a heal or boff. But I can never figure out what it is.

I thought it was a miracle worker or sci skill, but I cannot seem to figure it out.

That'd be the Reiterative Structural Capacitor. It's an old reward from the Kobayashi Maru weekend events, so if you missed out the only way to get it is to buy it at the Mudd store at a ridiculous markup.

The whole point of a good aux2batt build is that you don't have to have two copies of your main abilities. A full a2b will get everything important to the global cooldown, so duplicate copies are just a waste of space.

For an aux2batt build, it doesn't matter what rank of a2b you run, the important thing is the doffs and having two copies of a2b. The doffs should be purple technicians with the a2b cooldown reduction ability, and you need three of them to hit the max cdr. Now put both copies of a2b on your spam macro, and you're done. That's it, you're done, every other boff ability will now be at global cooldown. Fill the rest of your seats with all the good stuff, only one copy needed since your two a2b with techs are working away at it.

Once you've got the basics down, you can work on enhancing it. The trait Cold-Hearted, from the 2017 winter event ship, gives a nice debuff to anyone you're shooting at every time you hit a2b. The debuff is a control effect, so it will proc Controlled Countermeasures from the temporal rep. Now you're getting some cat2 damage added to everyone you shoot.

Now, running two copies of a2b means that your aux power will almost always be zero, so don't try this on a science ship that relies on high aux for damage. Similarly, a carrier build that's trying to minimize their figher launch cooldown shouldn't run a2b either.

Finally, there are some variants. Purple techs can be expensive and the free ones can be difficult and time-consuming to get, so some people run it with blue techs. That won't get you to global cooldown, but it will be better than nothing. Also, some ships can't fit two copies of a2b on them. Some people will run those with only one copy of a2b - these are often called half-batt builds. One copy of a2b won't get you to gcd by itself, but it can be combined with other cooldown reduction methods. One common method involves one copy of a2b (with the 3 purple techs) and a copy of photonic officer 1 or 2. Half-batt would probably also work well with Boimler, but Boimler + 3 purple techs gets pretty pricy.

Meta doffs will generally be the assimilated ones, but which ones are meta will depend on your build. The meta ones are super expensive, though - the best can be 500m ec or more.
