Do you always have to speak directly with the psychiatrist or do they have nurses and assistants to talk to instead?

I always feel like I’m wasting their time when talking to a therapist. Like I’m taking up time that could be used to help someone worse off

ive never had the patience to get referred to a therapist, thankfully i got the TurboADs i needed from my doc which i was really worried i'd need a specialist to prescribe because they're not commonly used

also unless it's like a med checkup i'd be at least slightly cautious talking with someone i haven't had a standing relationship with about brain stuff. though a specialist clinic is probably a better place to do that than a GP office

The thing is though you can't really judge the idea of who's worse off cause it can be very subjective. Also putting off therapy can leave things uhealed and can wind up leading to you hitting a higher level of risk. It's better to treat things early before anything develops to that point.

Like I’m taking up time that could be used to help someone worse off Same, but something my therapist told me is that there are plenty of people who legitimately are there just to have someone to talk to for an hour and that if you have even the slightest problem that you're going through therapy for, you're automatically not wasting any time. They get paid to see people and you having a slot doesn't prevent someone else from having a slot. There are people who don't really need therapy but get it anyway but if you have to ask if you're one of those people, then you're not one of them, because they're the kind of people who have no problems, no concerns, nothing at all, and are only going to spend some time shooting the poo poo. There is no time being wasted because someone who doesn't want therapy isn't going to suddenly want therapy if you cancelled your appointment and someone who already has an appointment is still going to get seen whether you keep your appointment or not.

The whole release seems to be built on some dodgy AI that was supposed to automatically upres everything. The problems are like too deep to fix without starting over. Since they don't even seem to have looked at the piece of poo poo before releasing it I very much doubt they care.

Keighlys Game of the Year nominations are: Deathloop It Takes Two Metroid Dread Psychonauts 2 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Resident Evil Village This is a super tough one this year. 2021 was amazing for video games. I think my game of the year pick from this list though is Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart. My personal game of the year for 2021 releases is Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, but for games I played for the first time ever, and it was this year, it's Xenogears.
