I'm really on the fence about selling the E30 because of this. The one upside is I can pick up a track prepped version for around half or build a regular E30 up with M3 suspension and engine for around 1/3. The E28 though...I might have to hold onto that one.

If you sale it, you could prob go whole hog w/ a used formula ford (or sprint/late model/midget, whatever floats boat) on a trailer and still come up couple bucks.

I don't have a truck and LOL at truck/SUV prices right now.

Obama probably forced him to get the loan at gunpoint, I'm sure.

briefly dated someone who paid like $500 monthly for a 2015 Jetta (in 2016) because instead of leasing they kept rolling the negative equity of their last car into their new car purchase every few years

Don't companies that loan money for cars usually require the borrower pay for full coverage car insurance?

Yes, if it's an actual car loan. Because that loan product is secured by the vehicle, so the security needs to be insured. Just like a house for a mortgage loan.

Believe women.

Late 60s Toronado for sale. Neat car, but I always like the guys who threaten to raise the price. Like, Ok, if I'm not buying it now you think I'm going to spend even more money on it?

Kind of lost interest. So my loss can be your gain. Only things that still need fixed are the air-conditioning and power seat. First $14400. Takes it. If it doesn't sell before it goes into storage the price goes up in the spring. May consider partial trade..

I don't know about specific cars that didn't sell nor have I looked at this one, but convertible prices tend to go down in the fall, and up in the spring.

I would like to imagine the trunk is full of weights so it can do wheelies.

Yeah, shortening the sedan really fucks up the proportions. Pity there's no straight-on side shot so you can see how very silly it really is. More work, but I would have relocated the rear wheels about 2' back. Probably would have made the doors, and therefore the passenger compartment, about 6" longer. Get a sort of T-bird feel to it.

Universal (double, really) bolt pattern wheels seem fairly common among aftermarket alloy wheels. I have never in my life consciously seen universal steelies.

Everything about that car screams "Hot Wheels" from the chrome steel wheels and whitewall tires to the gratuitous metal flake paint.

Interesting. I don't know if I've ever seen it in alloys, but tbh I haven't exactly looked either. In the 70s/80s it was super common with steel rims. At least in the podunk wastelands of Northern Alberta it was.
