The Nick Gage Invitational was really good. I have friends that watched Full Gear with me that were really weirded out when I said "Hey I'm going to watch some death match wrestling" and they joined me for it. They were horrified, but hypnotized at the same time. It was pretty hilarious.

There was a 10th anniversary show in 2008 that was run by the guys behind WSX that was only a one-off, and a couple of years later someone also randomly ran an XPW-titled show in Mexico. Aside from those actual events Black has talked plenty of times about all the great plans he had for a restart, but none ever came to fruition until this year's show.
