I feel like Eddie is the rare kind of wrestler like Jake Roberts who can draw tons of money without ever winning a title. Having said that, I agree with everyone else that he should, at the very least, hold the TNT title for several months at some point and I wouldn't have a problem with him holding the world title for at least a few months. He could absolutely carry the company. He has everything necessary to do so.

I've gone from being aware Eddie exists for the last 7 or whatever years to really loving and respecting the guy. I wish nothing but joy and happiness for the dude, and the "never stop going forward" thing was just what I needed to read when I did. God bless the guy.

i can't believe how much i loved the cm punk/mjf segment. punk says it's "belt season," and sees the writing on the wall and knows he has to get through MJF for a title shot, so he makes the first move. for once in his life, MJF is in a feud that he didn't start, and suddenly he's fighting a battle on someone else's terms (literally i think that every other feud he's had in AEW is him choosing to go after someone, instead of someone going after him). not to mention that he's flustered by punk, unable to maintain eye contact with a guy just starting a goddamn hole through him (wardlow, however, never takes his eyes off punk). maybe i'm seeing more than there actually was, but drat did that segment convey a lot while they said very little.
