Wish there was less canon tho… I still prefer the 90’s anime version over the original/Crystal to be honest as it injected some much needed levity/development for characters not named Usagi or Chibiusa into the series (aside from SuperS which ironically actually gave the other guardians LESS to do than they did in the manga version). Which is weird because if you’ve read Codename: Sailor V (which I would personally love to see animated one day) or any of the side chapters then you know that Takeuchi is fully capable of being just as goofy (if not more so) as the original anime was. Aside from being pretty low budget, the live action series they did is pretty good in terms of giving everyone more of a focus as well and most of the twists they added to the original story were interesting in my opinion (my only real complaint is that they made Minako way too serious for some reason) Larryb fucked around with this message at 13:44 on Nov 19, 2021 |
