Was that contestant’s story seriously, ”One time, I went to a soccer game.”?

Zesty posted:Huh. My recording for Friday was Mayim Bialik for some reason and nothing recorded today. For the first week I didn't get Jeopardy at all because they were broadcasting some sports station. Now Jeopardy comes in but at a stuttered framerate, so every time the screen-filling clue animation plays you can see the individual frames. Commercial breaks are also just a silent black screen. Sort of nice, sort of creepy after the first minute.

I almost missed it until I remembered halfway through the song that Manhattan is an island. I have a feeling that's what happened to Andrew. He clearly knew it was New York and was just trying to think of any island nearby while missing the obvious. Also, was anyone else annoyed by the wording of the clue that said a torrent is a type of movie file? Jokymi fucked around with this message at 06:09 on Nov 18, 2021 |

If only there was a former computer programmer that was on the show's staff that could tell them. A bit unrealistic though since they need someone good at networking.

The clips in that AMA category were so long, I'm surprised they got through all the clues! And Amy's tearing it the gently caress up! Three wins and already topped $100k, dang!

I had to learn so much about your presidents and your stupid wars studying for the show, the least you can do is learn our big national symbols. Skating on the Rideau is iconic - I used to do it to work in the winter, when we worked in an office - and it's maybe the only thing I like about living in Ottawa. You can eat poutine on a big outside skating rink that goes from a fake lake to a castle.

I really like how much better Ken is at relating to the contestants (as contestants) than Mayim is. Especially when somebody's not doing well or being told they're not going to return for FJ, his little bits of color commentary don't seem patronizing.
