New Exodus is a New Exodus album...sorta.

There are some absolute killer highlights on it. It gets really heavy for Exodus\thrash in general. With a different production and vocals, some parts would probably work for death metal. I think the second and third songs are the worst off the album, so stick with it.

I go way back with Exodus, but I think I've hit my limit. I can't take anymore of the 5:00+ songs that are basically a single 3:00 song repeated twice with word salad lyrics about being oppressed.

I'm listening to 200 Stab Wounds and it's okay, but Dying Fetus beat them to it. I think if they wanna break thru to top-tier status, they're gonna need to offer a "Slave to the Scalpel" branded knife and go toe-to-toe with the big bois

I listened to 200 stab wounds after seeing this thread praise it. It kinda rules that this album was made without even a single original thought going into it - at times it sounds like a parody of itself - but it still absolutely slaps.

that's fine though. Not every album needs to re-imagine a genre or reinvent the wheel. 200 Stab Wounds doesn't do anything new but what it does, it does well and I for one love it.

Just my opinion of course, the music is fantastic, but for some reason I just hate the vocals. My loss really, but she seems to have the same inflection in her growls at the end of nearly every sentence. I can't un-notice it.
