I kinda remember feeling Miz stood up for himself at a time when WWE was really stamping out independent thought in their ranks. I remember it being absolutely laced with WWE NewSpeak while Rene and Danielson look aghast. It was a good promo everyone thought was great because the only thing you need to at least be "good" on WWE is to just be something different because of how creatively bankrupt they are. It felt a little different at the time so it stood out.

Amazing Some of these people, not necessarily this guy in particular, seem to me like they're genuinely afraid to watch AEW. Like they're scared that they might actually like it and have something else to watch when WWE shows aren't on. Yeah I know for some of them they're afraid they'll have to admit that their pre-concieved opinions are wrong and they can't handle being wrong but for some of the others it's baffling. My brain is broken enough to break it down: Uh, not sure what the issue is with Japanese female talent. Objectively it seems like Shida, Riho and Yuka almost always gets great reactions on Dynamite. Pretty sure Shida is a proven draw ratings-wise as well. Teleporting. This was done maybe twice (Hardy's debut + Stadium Stampede) over a year ago. Pretty sure it was done in Impact, definitely done to death by others characters in WWE (Fiend, Taker, etc). Pretty easy to ignore. lmao the Sue stuff was awesome and totally fit the Best Friends' characters. This is the exact type of humor that makes AEW great imo Every promotion does silly poo poo for Halloween, pretty easy to excuse/ignore. I know all of the -1 stuff is in bad faith. The "alien" and "dinosaur" lines are classics at this point, I think it's been pretty well established via promos, Unrestricted, etc what Kris and Luchasaurus are all about. We are not led in kayfabe to believe they are actually aliens or dinosaurs (versus the Fiend and Alexa Bliss' possessed doll and magic powers which are presented as actually happening). Undertaker was an undead wizard, etc. The exploding ring was unfortunate but definitely funny. They acknowledged it, played it off, etc. Not sure what it has to do with AEW being "for kids" though. I think most people were skeptical of Rusev's initial character but it gave us what we have now which owns (and likewise Arcade Anarchy was incredible). Whether the payoff was intentional from the beginning it definitely worked out. Marko Stunt and Sonny haven't been on Dynamite in quite a while (which sucks, Sonny had that awesome Dark match with Joey). Is the "no legs" thing a reference to the dude in the first DoN Battle Royal? This person probably just watches clips out of context. I could take or leave the "MJF dance number" but that sort of ridiculousness you get in small doses in AEW which I think is fine. Mimosa match was a silly gimmick that was appropriate for both characters involved. It's not a staple match of a PPV or anything. Again, small doses.
