Something simple like that is probably doable though. As is you'll basically find some shader mods and that's about it.

Having not watched it in awhile, I forgot how Gridman's ending was kinda sad. I know it's supposed to be positive but I can't help but be down about Akane's returning to reality after having bonded with rikka and stuff. My theory is still that Rikka was based off of someone Akane had a crush on irl but still. I guess I get worked up over that stuff easily.

Yeah but I mean since the virtual reality continues on, they still presumably separate when they should be dating. I'm half kidding, but since Akanes a huge shut in virtual Rikka was probably one of her closest connections.

I always thought of it like, tonally, the kind of story where a character lives somewhere for a summer, learns some stuff about themselves and how to interact with people, then has to say goodbye to all their new friends to go back home. It's bittersweet, but that's just how it is sometimes. Akane gets to take the experience back home and break out of her shell in a town she didn't rule over like a god.
