And remember he's all about this over the grievous crime of people not wanting to listen to self-absorbed manchildren. This is the horrendous treatment that radicalized him and to which he now depicts running people over with cars as an appropriate reaction. That is literally all his idiot protagonist has been subjected to and it's now cool for him to engage in vehicular murder.

It's a classic example of the "enlightened centrist" to "unapologetic fascist" pipeline. You start out saying both sides are bad, and possibly even believe you actually think that, and then you slowly forget to criticize one side, sometimes throwing in a token criticism if you think someone's watching, before you eventually stop pretending altogether. Like, I think the first couple sets of Ishida Sundays had the occasional chud zombie facing off against the woke zombies, but it was clear by then that he was psyching himself up to go full mask off.

sinfest was from about 2000-2011 a reasonably mediocre gag a day webcomic. 2011 was when it started going hardcore into second wave...adjacent feministish whatever with a super focus on the sisterhood. It spent a couple years mostly trying to be "feminist sci-fi webcomicish" before taking a way harder turn into the anti-sex work, terfy poo poo you see now I don't think there's a single "well he's gone now" moment, more of a slow descent into further and further craziness

And when they inevitably expose themselves as racist/TERF/sexist shitheads, it's always "Wow the left is out of control I can't believe how extremist they've gotten!" poo poo, look at Horsey, dude probably considers himself to be left of center and he even seems like it with a lot of his cartoons, and then he starts screaming for the eternal imprisonment of the homeless and why can't those crazy leftists just give Jeff Bezos and Amazon a break?

I read it as being some kind of veiled anti-vax thing at first. My next guess was reactionary pro-soda cartoon because some public health initiative suggested people drink less, the fiends. But anti-gizmo is probably the answer he'll give if pressed.

If you want to pinpoint the moment Ishida lost it, it’d probably be the first time he did a transphobia after turning the cartoon into performative feminism. I doubt it shows directly in the comic, and I’m certainly not going to go looking for it, but those things attract a certain crowd and once you go TERF you’re on a direct course for outright fascism.

I'm not telling people to not kinkshame Ishida, I'm telling him to not kinkshame people who are into being dominated.
