Done right you can have the tangy richness, and act like the hotdog is a lox substitute. It goes haywire fast and requires a much sturdier bun, though, like a bagel in this scenario

I put cream cheese on burgers. With bacon and jalapenos it's really drat good. Bonus points for toasting the bun in the bacon fat if you don't give a drat about your body.

Those look delicious. I believe the cheese is queso fresco, not cream cheese, so the cheese will not be cold nor rich.

I had no idea what a Seattle dog was when I ordered it at a Seattle bar but god drat that thing is amazing when you're drunk. So for me it's Chili cheese dog/Chicago dog (can't decide) then Seattle dog.

That would be a pig-in-a-blanket in the US. For myself, and I expect most people my age, it has serious school food energy. Guilty pleasure maybe, but not well loved.

Instant biscut mix or, if you feel fancy, canned croissant dough wrapped around a short, cheap beef frank.

To be fair everyone calls it Den Bosch. 's-Hertogenbosch is only used by the government because it's somehow still the official name.

Broodje Frikandel is pretty hot dog like. It usually consists of a deep fried frikandel, curry sauce and raw onions.
