The New Atheists are Dick Dorkins, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens. A few other people have variously been considered part of that quartet but those are the tried and true. The term was coined in 2006, two years before Carlin died, so it was pretty fresh at the time. None of those guys have anywhere near the prominence they did in the '10s, especially the early '10s, today. Well Hitchens died but the rest just kinda blew it by being tremendous dickheads. Dawkins was really the face of it which is a huge L right there - they never stood a chance.
