Good thing you mentioned this, as a resident of Atlanta who voted and got him in last year(you're welcome). Democrats currently have less than a few months, assuming that if it passes someone will challenge it in court preventing it from going through so it needs to get settled in the court, to protect Warnock by passing the John Lewis voting rights act. Without which the following seats will probably flip red and never go blue again.... Governor. State legislature in a red district Senate House in a red district Basically the only positions in this state with any sort of actual power besides mayor of Atlanta.

Well I meant more in the sense that dominant strain would no longer be Delta and (would hopefully) be something less worse. We could actually have a variant that spreads very easily, but with a less severe version of Covid (in terms of sickness and mortality). I mean the worst thing would be something deadly like Ebola, but didn't burn through people until 2-3 weeks vs what it does in reality. We’ve been putting a lot of effort into keeping our kid uninfected, and now that he’s finally vaccinated this omicron bullshit drops. I’m hopeful that it doesn’t turn out to be as bad as some people are claiming, but skeptical that it’s as harmless as others are insisting. Luckily as Xmas celebrators we have some time to wait for more actual data to become available before we have to make a decision about seeing family, so it could be worse.
