I've never really connected the Duggar family to the family of my best friend growing up until now. He was, at the time, the seventh child, and the first boy. He was born exactly one month before me, and lived two houses down the street, we were definitely best friends as kids. They had (as far as I know) ten more kids after that, all girls. They all went to a private Baptist school. The kind of Baptist school that starts a private "college." All of the girls were basically pushed out of the house as soon as they were 18. Most of them, thankfully, I've re-met through social media and are living lives separate from the family that raised them. Unfortunately, one I know has died of suicide. My old best friend is the pastor of one of those "everything you do is a sin and you will die, God loves you but you are a sinner!" kind of churches. His dad, I forget the circumstance because I was nine or ten years old, came down the stairs and pointed a gun at me while my friend and I were playing pool. I guess that's my story about the quiverfulls, thanks for reading.

And that's assuming he'd done even that, which he didn't.
