Hilariously, Josh's computer skill seems to have been at the exact level that allowed him to turbofuck himself to the maximum possible extent. He knew enough to hide his Internet activities from his family (who might have stopped him early on), and enough to know about tools like Tor, but not enough to actually use those tools properly. So he carried on piling up more and more evidence of ever-more-awful poo poo, all the while thinking he was getting away with it since he was such a computer genius.

To go back to the argument of "some paedophiles need compassion". Yes, it must truly suck to be sexually attracted to young kids and know that you can never EVER act on your impulses because to do so would cause immeasurable harm and anguish on an innocent. It also sucks that there are not enough resources or research on how to help these people. But I would argue that actual incest/child abuse/child pornography/molestation etc. is more than that. I posit that the sex part of the act of child sex abuse is only a small part of the crime. Much like it is widely acknowledged that most rape is less about sex, and more about power, control, misogyny, hate, feelings of emasculation, etc. I would argue that child abuse is similar. The abuser isn't doing what they are doing to get their rocks off, they are doing it more to enact a power fantasy over a vulnerable child, they are doing it to hurt an innocent, they are doing it to establish dominance, they are doing it to inflict harm etc. So yeah, they might be doing it because they have paedophillic urges, (for which we might be able to garner some sympathy), they are also doing it because they are bad BAD people for bad BAD reasons. Josh Duggar is one of these bad people. And I hope he gets what he deserves.
