Maybe someone can make something harmless to replace it with.

Did you know that 1 in 3 of us will need urea in our lifetime but only 1 in 30 people donate? And that every donation can treat up to 3 tanks full of diesel! In Australia, a new donor is needed every 5 minutes. If you’ve never donated urea before, or have not donated for a while, now’s the time to do it.

Yeah the vehicles are programmed to either not run at all or go into limp mode when there's no def. There will be ways to gently caress around and make them work properly without it but it comes with the possibility of massive fines. Plus it's not the type of thing any rando can just do, you'll need to know what you're doing.

Neighbors told the newspaper that Enger was friendly and an “unbelievable craftsman”, who also struggled with mental health problems for many years.

New Zealand has announced it will outlaw smoking for the next generation, so that those who are aged 14 and under today will never be legally able to buy tobacco.

New legislation means the legal smoking age will increase every year, to create a smoke-free generation of New Zealanders, associate health minister Dr Ayesha Verrall said on Thursday.

“This is a historic day for the health of our people,” she said.

The government announced the rising age alongside other measures to make smoking unaffordable and inaccessible, to try to reach its goal of making the country entirely smoke-free within the next four years. Other measures include reducing the legal amount of nicotine in tobacco products to very low levels, cutting down the shops where cigarettes could legally be sold, and increasing funding to addiction services. The new laws will not restrict vape sales.

“We want to make sure young people never start smoking so we will make it an offence to sell or supply smoked tobacco products to new cohorts of youth. People aged 14 when the law comes into effect will never be able to legally purchase tobacco,” Verrall said.

New Zealand’s daily smoking rates have been dropping over time – down to 11.6% in 2018, from 18% a decade earlier. But smoking rates for Māori and Pacifika were far higher – 29% for Māori and 18% for Pasifika. “If nothing changes, it would be decades till Māori smoking rates fall below 5%,” Verrall said. She said eradicating smoking in the next four years was within reach: “I believe it is. In fact, we’re on track to for the New Zealand European population. The issue is, though, if we don’t change what we’re doing, we won’t make it for Maori – and that’s [what] the plan is really focused on”.

Smoking has already been widely replaced by vaping among teenage New Zealanders, and is also attracting many young people who would never have taken up smoking – according to surveying of 19,000 high school students this year, nearly 20% were vaping daily or several times a day, the majority with high nicotine doses. That’s compared to 3% of those aged 15-17 who smoked daily in 2018, or 13% who smoked a decade earlier.

Hope everyone's got they washing in, another cell heading to Syd.

Spent the arvo doing pickup experiments on the cheap Warwick I bought a while back.

Fitted a vintage bassbucker in, was much louder than the MEC it came with (This model is renown for being quiet), but the tone was a bit meh and clunky.

Then, for the gently caress of it, I took it out and threw in a vintage Aria MB3 pickup. Which sounds AWESOME. But one of the coils isn't firing, so the two thick strings sound amazing and the two light strings barely get through.

So much disappointment in that.

So much.

This one is the cheapest german built one out there, precursor to the Rockbass range, so it's bolt-on and has a hi-mass bridge instead of the two-piece. But has a real nice ovangkol neck and the stain on the Carolena body is sweet. The pickup is pissweak tho, but TalkBass constantly suggests putting a 2-band preamp in, which I have (If I can fix it). If I still don't like it, I can probably make my money back on it.

Still bummed as gently caress that the Aria pickup didn't work, it would have been awesome.

BOO:

I had the kacky handed rockbass equiv of that with jazz Active pickups in it. Was a good off the shelf lefty I didn't have to wait for but yeah wasn't much more to it than that.

Had the nice bridge your one has on it but pretty sure it was fairly ordinary wood, not nice stuff like the Warwick range.

Sold it to the bassist in Poisonus, the poison cover act. He had a fleet of them as they're great workhorses and again, an easy choice for leftys that need an affordable guitar that isn't a waiting list.

My mate has a 5 string Warwick Thumb and it's bloody lovely in terms of build quality and materials.

I'm searching for a cheapish guitar for home use, nothing much local though.
