I was just informed that a potential adopter has shown interest in Carl. They have 15 acres to romp around on and have Cattle Dog experience so it could be a great match for our active li’l buddy.

There is a bit of a sushi crisis in my town. We are down to one sushi joint. They are pretty decent and stay busy enough. So that is good. but we've lost two places in the last couple of years. One was top notch next to a lodge just out of town. Covid killed their business. They had a great deck by the lake with sunset views to kill for. Food was top notch. But alas... The other failed because of the owner. Really, and I mean really good fusion style menu. I'd put it in the top three in terms of quality. It was ridiculously expensive though; like $50 for a roll, a beer, and some edamame for lunch. The owner came across as cool. Local guy that had cool ideas for developing the down town area; but then you'd see him absolutely scream at some teenage employee for not setting napkins out exactly perfect. Just yelling right in front of you while you are eating. I don't regret him not staying in business, but that dude could make some mean sushi. The one place still operating is pretty solid. Also they are on the water front. In the summer you can go boating, call in an order to go, boat into the public docks and run ashore to grab your order then head back out on the water to eat. Absolutely kicks rear end. But they are the last place running for uncooked fish. That makes me a bit sad. Also, thanks for the tomato tips from a few pages ago.
