Leonard was going to take the bomb out of the building via the elevator and Sheldon pulled him out and left the bomb. It went off seconds after the doors closed.

Tommyknockers is kinda longwinded but it's otherwise really good, imho. One of the only books I've ever read that's made me feel queasy, and it scans super well if you've ever lost any relatives to Qanon stuff or Trumpism in general. I've seen people knock the bit with the Coca-Cola machine, but using a corporate brand to gruesomely murder an intruder is extremely on the nose.

Needful Things comes to mind as one's that's way too bloated but I still liked parts of it. Usually if I don't like a book I'll give up on it pretty early, and mostly it's more for the writing style being unappealing than anything else. I've gotta think about things constantly or I get nutty and books are good for that even if they're not good

Tommyknockers could lose some chapters to be sure, but it is a great book still. I still don't understand why we needed The Kid at all in King's expanded The Stand. He did nothing of value at all other than some shock gore.

Mighta come up before, but this Simpsons clip is a fun one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=virpe1dpc6g Homer is flat out giving solid advice here. And says a lot about how messed up gender politics was and often still is for girls dealing with advances of boys who won't take no for an answer, not even getting into the issues of a kid with a nonspecific mental disability... or whose father is a cop. Moaning Lisa early on also makes a big point about Marge realising how sexism and internalised misogyny has impacted her life and happiness when she sees the same things happening to Lisa when she's unable to deal with her unhappiness at genuine mistreatment.

bobjr posted:https://1900hotdog.com/2021/12/learning-day-the-avengers-kill-santa/ If you are into comics crossovers with santa with weird sexual harassment stuff, (and who isn't?) Theres one where the Ultimate Warrior rapes Santa, steals his suit, then chains him up before taking over the mantle and (I think) delivering toys to all the little warriors in the world. Edit: For those talking about the sitcom about terrorists that end up liking living the Western lifestyle. There was an ongoing skit on the cartoon "The Mr Hell Show", where some hardcore islamist was trying to plan some bombing or other, and would get into the stereotypical "death to the imperialist pigdogs" etc. rhetoric but his co-conspirators were just a couple of asian lads from Birmingham with thick Brummie accents, and their plots were often interrupted by the boys mum bringing in some tea for her sons and their friend.
