I'm returning 2 work tomorrow after 17 months of total freedom/abject poverty. I'm relieved 2 be getting a regular income again but I've got a srs case of the Sunday Scaries. what a horrible night 2 have a curse  what are some tips and tricks 4 combating th' Scaries (already trashed so that's helping a little)

Yep, you've got this. All you're doin is showing up for day one and nobody expects you to be a superstar at whatever your job is right from the get-go so don't stress about hypothetical situations and try 2 get some sleep, it'll be no big deal and I'm sure they'll like you In other news the wife and I got our boosters yesterday and today we both just tried to lay still in bed cause otherwise everything hurts lol However I'm about to see if weed helps Ugh I really don't wanna miss work tomorrow cause it's crunch time but man I dunno about working like this Kinda feels like when I had mono really bad |

Good luck at the new gig AG! What kind of job did you get? I work tonight, but hopefully my coworker who is supposed to close isn't sick anymore so that I can gently caress off and maybe do last minute Christmas shopping, and definitely drink whiskey.

It's a contract gubment job. I work for my state's department of social services but I don't have 2 interact w/ all the poors. It's just a desk job, doing easy filing and scanning and mail room type poo poo. It's the kind of job u accept when u just want to listen to podcasts all day and work with chill ppl in exchange for bad pay. At this point in my life, having a chill day every day is more important than making bank. anyways despite all the best wishes of u my posting pals, I couldn't sleep at all last night because anxiety and on top of that I made the rookie mistake of eating some melatonin at 4 am in an attempt to get a few winks. No winks though! Instead I had a miserable day fighting sleep and trying 2 stay positive around my new coworkers. I even ended up drinking coffee 2 stay awake, which I've always consider v unchill. Caffeine makes me clammy and nervous
