I wonder which is the best to fly into of the European ones. Most of the tracks are in the middle of nowhere , but they do tend to have good public transport.

I've made a huge mistake.
Spa is a mecca everyone should visit at least once, even if not for F1.
Join all the finns who go to Hungary every year
The Dutch seem to be cool in general except on relation to Max so skip Zandboort.
Skip Silverstone as were now a failed state
Monza is probably an experience and you can laugh at Ferrari under your breath.

Lap 36. Lewis is up 6 seconds on max. Giovinazzi causes a vsc. Lewis’ tires are 20 laps old, with 22 left to go. Max pits, and pulls back onto the track down 23 seconds. Lewis could’ve pitted there easily right?

E: Crofty just said it’s 15-16 seconds under vsc. No reason for merc to not pit.

The VSC ended like three seconds past the pit entrance the first chance he would have had to respond pit. It would have ended up almost entirely green flag pit and definitely behind max.

E: also it was mentioned RBR had both fresh sets of hards for sunday, lewis would have had to put on a set of hards with ??? laps on them, or I think he had fresh mediums for 22 laps which probably? would have been better on the final lap but not fresh softs as good or even 22 lap old hards as good, and have had to burn up life fighting behind max looking for the super safe pass and passing, or not having passed and just 22 laps of major tire deg following.

E2: ALSO putting the faith in the stewards to properly penalize max if he wrecks lewis (subtract championship points and DQ from race or season) trying to pass is probably a lot more risky than putting faith in RD to follow written regs. The stewards have been extremely inconsistent in penalizing max this year for all the moves he’s pulled that absolutely should have been, see brazil v jeddah.

Likely Catalunya if that is your priority. Also probably the best one to make an actual holiday of.

We went to Spa which involved a 7AM ferry to Calais and then driving across the top of France to get to Bruges for lunch (which was amazing) and then down to Vielsalm in what is now a Center Parcs but was called something else. Got there by the early evening and it was pretty pain-free.

I love how out-braking someone is called a "dive bomb" as though it's a derogatory way to go racing and not the predominant way a car gets ahead of another in motor racing.
Usually the same people who call lewis "the GOAT" for pressing DRS to pass someone before the braking zone even arrives.

Yes when he brakes so late and doesnt even start turning the wheel until past the apex and leaves no room on track for the car he is attempting to ‘pass’ that is a dive bomb and bad racing. Also wasnt that almost exactly horners pissy argument at silverstone and why he made albon go ‘recreate’ the lap or whatever? Like lmfao

Monza is probably the easiest since it's not in the middle of nowhere and is basically in a Milan suburb.

The others are all in pretty remote areas and it would be harder to do something on your trip other than just the F1 related stuff.

It's a fraction of the cost to go to COTA or the Miami race though. So relatively speaking it's a bargain.

Skipping a mandatory award ceremony should obviously cost you one of your own titles. If the current trend continues, Max will overtake Lewis 4*:3 in the WDC standings at the end of 2024.

I like to listen to podcasts and music from my Apple Watch while running. At the time I bought it, the only thing I found that would seamlessly sync my podcasts between my phone and watch other than the Apple Watch with Overwatch (podcast app). Had tried a Garmin and it would play podcasts but not sync where I stopped/started. Same with the native Podcast App on Apple Watch. I assume things have gotten better in the past 8 months though.
