Dumb idiot question.

Due to enemy scaling "Haha I got my Gunblaster pilots to level 90!... Oh everything is also level 90+ anyways", what effect does "level cap up to 200" even DO except raise the bar for level grinding to meet par with "We added this new mission where enemies have a minimum level of 170" content and increase the legwork for making every Gunblaster pilot the same level as Daba?

I think it's mostly for super expert which ratchets up enemy levels to a ridiculous degree

like I'm going through the dlc rodeo at the start of chapter 2 and am fighting level 58 enemies

ironically this makes the game easier as everyone gets access to their full spirit sets and big sp pools very quickly, recruitment missions are a nightmare though

multi turn exc should have a hotkey

I'll trade it for that square marking thing I never do on purpose and forget how to undo every time. maybe someone uses that to figure out ranges or something I dunno.

speaking of ng+, what do we think seems to be the best carryover priorities?

100% on the cash/pp/aos obviously, then you'll probably have a giant pile of points left over so just bring your reloaders/haros/any op parts

Especially any kind of Extra Arms, those things can magically turn your more garbage Reals into Good Times(and enough of them makes the Full Gunblaster Squad actually pretty viable late-game)

Item slot>MxP>PP>Money>Cool Parts (ExC accumulator, sp getter for immediate infinite bullshit, haros, any of the 500 ridiculously overpowered items)

Kills depends on how early you want ace bonuses or not, I like having everybody aced and for some characters it really helps them on their joining stage. The doublers are to taste too, like I would never pick double xp because I like doing ExC stuff and want to avoid hitting the level cap, but it does have a use for force deploys only needing two bops to be ready to go if you haven't been rotating your guys around on the 2000 missions the game has.

I'd love a marking thing for Emergency Retrieval!!

yeah mxp seems like the main obvious choice to me
I'm at the end of the game with everyone maxed (well they were, lol patched) and I'm still a few mxp short of the full upgrade. cutting that out and having it's benefits sounds good, especially since you could then spend points after that on the parts.

money and exp seems like no big deal. pp sort of, but you don't really need to go nuts with that anyway. at least on normal. maybe I'll try hard in ng+. might just wait until all the dlc is out too.

The IBO missions (and only them) use the Amuro/Kamille portraits from the Hi-Nu Gundam missions. Nothing else uses them, and no other character has different portraits for specific things. They're in a different art style even, and look significantly worse if you ask me. I have no idea why they exist, they're very confusing.

Which is the equivalent to Ignore Size +2, I guess.

I mean it's not actually an issue, ignore size is cheap as hell, but it's just kinda weird.

e: I made an attempt at an NG+ but even speeding through it I just can't go through this behemoth of a game again, even for some extra dialogue.

IMO I would've preferred a new game with these units, though they're fun to use at least

It's Ignore Size +2, until you've maxed out Ignore Size, at which point it's basically a flat +20% damage to almost everything forever. So essentially Ultraman is the undisputed king of ignoring size, once you've trained him a little.

It means that you can do cool ExC plays for longer. Somehow I entirely missed level ups giving ExC in spite of clearing a few relics with ExC shenanigans :downs:

True, if everyone has higher levels that means your levels are going to get just as high faster provided you survive... and yeah Daba's first outing being carefully escorting him through a level before I turned him into the monster everybody says he is definitely comes to mind for ever trying my hand at the big boy difficulties

I'm kind of frustrated by how the DLC ends. Like not having an actual ending actually feels a lot crappier when you have characters going "yeah okay we'll stay here until you're done, our friends will be okay" but there's no actual way to finish.

It actually made me not finish this particular part of the DLC. Like I was going to, and then it dawned on me - this will happen three more times. Every DLC will end with them sealing one of the pillars, no one leaving, rinse and repeat until they're done. It feels incredibly empty, and the epilogue of the game itself already felt that way. Like I'm being forced to pay not for more content, but for the story that should be in the game itself to begin with.

I appreciate that they gave Gilliam a line in Ultraman's intro mission, seeing as he says literally nothing the entire rest of the game that I've seen (maybe he comments during Amuro's intro, I guess I'll find out in NG+ whenever all the DLC is out and handled).

You have to scour the map, but they also build up if you forget, so you can just check the map every handful of missions and get a bunch done in one go.

It's not available by default. You have to get to a specific mission where he unlocks it. Afterwards, you can trigger it at will once he hits 150 morale.
