watching a buddy do the trial a few times this morning 1) the AI does NOT know how to handle a bunch of players crowding up slamming into them/each other lol. Try and see if you can catch two AI colliding in midair, it's like that old troll physics comic where you can achieve flight by grabbing someone and lifting them while they grab and lift you 2) man the second race is dogshit. AI already doesn't obey the same physics rules you do, and I have the suspicion that once that get far enough enough, the game just tells them not to obey any physics at all because the player can't see them. If they're all near the front and your team has more points, keep going because it's a team event and you're throwing away a win if you leave.

It took me a handful of races to complete the trial and I never had an attempt where the second race this season wasn't the AI just absolutely crushing everyone else. On the attempt I won we outscored the AI by 2000ish points on the first and third race but still got annihilated on the second.

on my own attempt early in the week one of my teammates got ahead on the first hard turn, bounced off the wall in front of all of the ai and blocked them for the rest of us to squeeze by. I'm not 100% sure he did it on purpose but it worked

The second race was the one in the huge storm right? AI is unreasonably good at driving in wet conditions (or they are just not affected by it, which seems possible given how everyone knows they cheat physics!) I remember playing a seasonal championship in FH4 that was S2 cars in the pouring rain... I don't think anything in these games has ever made me think "this is literally impossible" so much

I opened up the Forzathon shop in the new season and noticed that the "time remaining" is counting down from 24 hours. Not sure if that's yet another bug or if they're going to rotate new stuff in every day for Christmas, but the clock is ticking if you want a couple of new annoying seasonal novelty horns.

It's grimly funny that the thing I dread most in the Trial is having a human-driven car behind me Just lost a Trial because some dumbass ran me off the road in a meaningless attempt to pass. If he hadn't, we'd have won the first race and wouldn't have needed the third

I had to drag a team kicking and screaming to the win through this trial. For the third race, i had to hang back and babysit the moron who wouldn't leave, holding the ai traffic back so he wouldn't try to ram them in every corner, and getting him moving again every time he went nose first into a wall. How do people even play this loving game? Like what is there for them to do when they can't even get around a circuit?

Good reset day. First try on the Trial, tight on the first race, blowout on the second, no third race required. And I scored a dupe Lambo Sesto FE on the spin so now I feel fuzzy inside thinking of the lucky radom who is going to receive it as a gift.

We're a looooong way off from the "Gift cars to earn unlock rewards" aren't we? I don't feel they're making it super clear to the community that this is A Thing. I can only donate so many Mitsubishi Eclipses, is what I'm saying.

Still helps for mass buying 2015 porsche cayman GTSs. you can also fill the mastery tree in the car modification area of the festivals and stack up the spins rather than disrupting the flow doing them as you unlock. It's still a loving slog to burn off 500 skill points. There are Lancias and Fiats in the files. hopefully they were just waiting for people to get the game for christmas before opening the floodgates on new cars. even at 3/week it's going to take 2 years to get all the FH4 cars back. I just want the 037 and the Bentley Turbo R back.

The FD gets TWO completely nutso body kits, and my bug report of the itty bitty babby spoiler on the TVR speed 12 which basically renders the game unplayable still just sits on read.
