Pretty funny after listening to the Charlie got Molested podcast and them not being able to use a catholic priest for that episode because FX didn't want the heat...

Holy poo poo that last episode. Sad the season is over already but goddamn was it concentrated quality, and the Ireland episodes were fantastic.

I was almost ready to bury the show after the first two episodes. I feel like the first way too topical, which isn't something Sunny does. And for something topical, they were also pretty drat dated. Kinda like when new Simpsons do one of their dumb out-of-touch parodies of something that was popular 3 years ago. The Forrest Gumpy twist on the events is humorous, but the jokes were nothing new.

Lethal Weapon is boring in general, to me. Again, I'm not familiar with a LOT of US media, so episodes like that are usually a miss for me.

However, the Ireland arc is INSANELY strong. Weird, because I didn't expect them to be. I was in tears over Frank's piss jugs!

The whole season was great and can't wait for season 16! Sure a couple episodes were not top 20 Always Sunny episodes, but all 8 episodes are still pretty much the best thing on TV.

Mac: "Yeah he does! He smites people all the time. The flood? He took everybody out with that one. Then He made the Ark of the Covenant and some people looked at it and he didn't like that, so he melted their faces off."
Priest: "Listen, many of the stories in the Bible are metaphors."
Mac: "What's the metaphor for the last one? 'Don't look at my poo poo?'"

America's $1 Funnyman

I've been rewatching Sunny lately too, on season 10 now, and that episode for sure is too good. In general Dennis does hit a bit close to home, gotta love the relatable insanity of these characters. Characters trying to change their ways as well, that always hits home, funny stuff. Or any time the gang gets a bit meta, like when they point out that they've all started doing weird things over the years etc. Layers, lots of layers.

Thought the opening was only ok but the Irish episode ark knocked it out of the park.

Quite enjoyed them ending on enjoying their, and boasting their worst American qualities, before cutting to credits with born in the USA. A song constantly confused for a pro American patriotic anthem that's actually criticising the worst of American society.

The whole Ireland arc was fantastic. Dee Sinks in a Bog was the hardest I've laughed at a title reveal in a long time and I was not expecting the finale at all. I was REALLY not expecting Charlie of all characters to have an actual emotional monologue. I'd honestly be good if the next 2 or 3 or whatever they're signed for on seasons were just some 4 or 5 episode arcs with this amount of focus and quality.

We all know the answer is Glenn but which cast member made a pact with the devil? This show is preternaturally good. It should be awful by now but it still gets a laugh out of me every time. Even when it isn't that good, it is still outstanding and every season there is something like the Ireland arc that is just gutbusting.

What a loving run.

Weaker season for me all things considered, but a few strong points. Everything with Charlie and his dad was good stuff. Castle buying scene, mac at the church, and the waitress name guessing were great. The Dee acting arc was filler and the skating episode was a big flop, but the last two episodes were a strong ending. I hope this one was so short because of covid and they'll get back to at least 10 episodes in the future.

To be fair, they were extremely recent events. Everything just moves in such warp speed now that it feels dated to reference anything unless you’re making a YouTube video the literal next day
