You tell 'em, Stinger.

(The funny thing is while I do follow Sting on Twitter, I'm pretty sure it only popped on my timeline because Kojima also liked the tweet.)

If there's one dude (with attitude) that I'm so glad got to rewrite the final chapter of his wrestling career, it's definitely Sting. I followed him from his early days in Bill Watts' UWF, through to his glory days in both the NWA and WCW. He got done dirty by WWE so I'm glad to see AEW has revitalized him. :unsmith:

Dude made Hogan and Bischoff look completely foolish in TNA while doing a tribute Heath Ledger. Dave Meltzer be damned, Sting is a hall of famer in every sense of the word.

Sting was the second time I had a favorite wrestler. The first was Bret Hart.
I'm not saying my taste is good because there probably were some misses after that but those were two home runs in a row.

Mankind was my favorite when I was a kid, probably my most cherished wrestling memory is trying to stay quiet (since it was past my bedtime) during the end of the RAW when he won the title for the first time, no easy feat because I was out of my mind happy to see Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy finally prevail.

As a kid my first exposure to wrestling was World Class, so my early favorites would have been the Von Erichs and Chris Adams, I'd say. When I started watching the NWA during the 1980s I was definitely a fan of Dusty and Magnum and the Road Warriors (and later Sting when he debuted there after the UWF folded). For 1980s WWF, I wasn't quite as much of a Hulkamaniac as other kids, but I did like JYD and the British Bulldogs. Later when I got into my "contrarian teenager edgelord" phase, I started liking the heels more, so I liked Flair and the Horsemen, the Midnight Express, etc. I stopped watching for a while until the mid-1990s and the beginning of the Attitude Era, and Bret and Owen and Mankind were firm favorites of mine at that time.

I've got a pocket full of cheese🧀, and a garden full of trees🌴.

I'm an old man, and also a contrarian. So my favourites were seldom the main eventers.

I really liked Junk Yard Dog and The Killer Bees.

I will also be forever grateful to my favourites on commentary, Jesse Ventura and Bobby Heenan for showing little me that the heels more often than not had legitimate and reasonable grievances.

Speaking of Heenan, the Ken Patera feud was hilarious in hindsight because Patera, the face, was unquestionably in the wrong there. "It's your fault I got hangry and wrecked a McDonalds and got into a brawl with a bunch of cops and did prison time for it, you son of a bitch!"

My favorite as a kid was Bam Bam Bigelow, and my favorites since then have been oddballs and freaks and almost never the main event guys until AEW came along and turned Eddie Kingston and OC into legit draws.
