Considering getting Disco Elysium since it's the first time I see it on sale and I know I really want it, 25 euro is pretty fair of a price.

I'm getting through Sega Picross, Dicey Dungeons, Wilmot's Warehouse, Super Metroid (eventually Fusion), FFX and still have Pikmin 3 and Subnautica on the docket (with a physical game I'd like to trade in)...

I get that the first 3 don't really have end-game states and I only take them on piece meal anyway. I'm very much focused on Metroid at the moment but I was hoping to return to FFX in due time.

Decisions decisions.

Money's money, but I forgot I had bunch of store credit from a gift card I got using a long story.

So I only paid 9 for Disco Elysium and it's great ok. Now to get through some other things!

My main plan is to have a bunch of stuff knocked off for April (not including Dread), so I can use my gold points to pick up Triangle Strategy on the cheap.

I played more StS yesterday and I think I’m getting back into it, maybe.

But I don’t understand everyone saying it’s perfect for PC because they play it while doing other things. Isn’t that the whole point of the Switch? I’ve been using it as a way to play video games while doing other things since 2017. I can’t imagine ever sitting at a computer too game ever again.

I think I’ll play more StS on my Switch today while my wife watches TV.

Heck, I’ve even been multitasking while playing games while it’s docked. Split joycons are perfect for gaming while holding a napping baby.

I actually ended up disliking Dread because it's a ridiculously linear game disguised as an open game. The item progression and especially teleporter location constantly funnels the player toward the next objective, and the game frequently blocks once opened doors to prevent backtracking.

I am surprised to see so many people praising how open it feels.

Be like me and have the memory of a goldfish and an absolutely piss-poor sense of direction! Feel constantly lost, wander around mashing your face into everything until you randomly stumble on the path forward! :haw:

I'm serious, btw, I loved the game and I don't get any of the linearity complaints at all, for the above reasons.

I picked up Disco Elysium for less than 30 euro which is nice.

Things that are on sale that i know of and are on my wishlist:

What the Golf is at 8 euro
Ringo Ishikawa a weird beat 'em up life sim is sitting at 9 euro.
Ori and the Blind Forest is at 10
Aviary Attorney a Phoenix Wright like game is also at less than 10 euro.
Sludge Life is down to 8 and I'd almost get it, but I also have no problem paying full price for it eventually.
GTA Trilogy is down 20% to shy of 50 euro, but I beat we can get a deeper sale later in the year.
Monkey Ball is down to 30 euro
Bioshock's at 20 euro.
Fire Emblem's down to 40 euro, and that's probably as cheap as it'll ever get.
Phoneotopia is available for 13 and Mega64 talks about it constantly.
I am Dead is at 10.
Hypnospace Outlaw will go for 7, but it feels like it needs a mouse tbh.

If A Robot Named Fight is on sale I highly recommend it for the 2 bucks it goes at those prices. You could do worse with Dicey Dungeons which also gets deep sales at these times. Same for Yoku's Island Express. Aside from that get the good games. You know the ones.

Yeah when i saw how cheap it was i got it for essentially free since i had a few gold coins saved up. Very worth 0 dollars. But like i thought, the switch is not quite able to handle it

I have managed to fall thru geometry 3 times and had one hard crash on load, luckily the autosaves are generous and i didnt lose anything any of the times

Folks asking about game sharing and primary/secondary Switches: One thing to remember is that it's very easy to swap primary status between two Switches as long as you have access to both of them. You just have to deactivate primary in the eShop on the primary one, and the next Switch that opens the eShop becomes the new primary.

this is wrong. monster train is a perfectly passable and entertaining game but sts is way deeper and varied. "fun" is subjective tho so ymmv

personally i am looking for a game that can satisfy my urge to "contribute"
