oh i watched end of eva earlier. still great. wish the end was just a bit less vague (ie more satisfying) but whatever its mainly the ride that counts

rushed meaning they should've each been about 30 minutes longer. and the rebuilds as a whole lean too hard into making characters barf out exposition that doesn't make any sense

I haven't watched every single thing he's made so I don't have a great grasp on his work but Patrick H Willems goes over movies and themes and stuff and this one he made 5 years ago about the marvel movies still sits in my head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpWYtXtmEFQ Cosmonaut Marcus does the same and reminds me of how frustrating and weirdly restrained the X-Men movies are.
