I was an archivist for five years and it was a chill job where I wore headphones all day while doing light repetitive tasks and avoiding eye contact with my co-workers, but also I was constantly surrounded by other people and every work station was shared by nature of the job (you'd need different spaces and tools for file preparation, volume scanning, large formats, etc)

I'd like to do it again because it's as introverted and mechanical as white collar employment gets, but there's no way to reliably do it from home - like I could process seven or eight bankers boxes full of paperwork in a day with a lovely Dell, a rack-fed scanner and a flat blade staple puller, so unless a dude in a box van shows up first thing in the morning and last thing at night it'd be going back into a big poorly ventilated room with thirty other people sitting at the same huge desk
