if we just doing bands from the 2000s with three excellent albums in a row i'm going with Mew:

-Frengers
-And the Glass Handed Kites
-...No More Stories

what a beautiful evolution

Agree wholeheartedly. +/- never coalesced for me, but Visuals had some good jams. I could use a new Mew album, come to think of it.

Other indie trifectas (2000s or otherwise) I'm thinking of...

Low: ... Live in Hope/Long Division/Curtain Hits the Cast
Protomartyr: The Agent Intellect/Relatives in Descent/Ultimate Success Today
Damien Jurado: Maraqoupa/Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son/Visions of us... (not that the albums before or after dropped off, but these hang together well)
The first 3 New Pornographers LPs
Pernice Brothers: Overcome By Happiness/The World Won't End/Yours Mine and Ours
Broadcast: Noise Made By People/Haha Sound/Tender Buttons
and dunno if Britpop counts but I'd plump for Suede's first 3 as well, and Supergrass's first 3. Maybe Blur if you do the US version of Leisure.

I’m guessing you didn’t actually listen to it? Looping one part of the original recording for 6 minutes isn’t a “cover” jfc

after spending 30 minutes meticulously cropping that live song and searching for just the right video to go along with it, not to mention hosting it on vimeo, a something awful forums poster enters the link into the waiting text box and clicks post.

he leans back smugly in his gaming chair, swirling his half can of red bull.

he whispers to himself "lol gottem..."

Shut up DUMMY
Idk, I've seen a lot of artist hyped as the next huge thing in places like this that never got to that stage. A lot of it really is flash in the pan stuff based on trends and marketing.

Some of their songs sound like a darker version of Britney Spears vocals over more modern production though, so I guess you never know.

Electronic music I guess! New Burial is extremely my poo poo. Sparse, finely detailed, sad, field recordings, slow melodies, haunting subs/bass and bitter vocals. Antidawn is my local favourite. It reminds me of playing an open world RPG or FPS with all the NPCs and baddies removed. Shadow Parade is also good. Long live Burial!
