Do you think West Ham should continue to pursue Lingard when Vlasic seems to be growing into that role, especially when they desperately need one or two new CBs and cover for Antonio?

My MIL just had to wait 12+ hours at the ER for antibodies. They had rooms available but not enough staff. She got to witness the registration desk tell a desperate mother who had a 3 year old with a high fever that it'd be a 7+ hour wait, so that sounds fun.

Yeah, my work is currently remote but will be having us back at some point and have said they want everyone to take a PCR test before we do. On one hand I don't want sick people in the office, on the other hand I don't know why I should stand around with a bunch of sick people for hours, maybe get sick myself, and take a testing appointment from someone who might need it more, when I have no symptoms and no reason to believe I am sick (assuming that continues to be the case). It's stupid.

Same. Double vax, delta, booster, omicron. I'm not about to go on a doorknob licking tour just yet though. Even before this I didn't like crowds or high touch surfaces because humans are gross.

Our plan is “no plan” and we already have six teachers out. We are stretched to the absolute limits with zero substitutes available to call on.

I’m 110% sure within the next seven days we will no longer have enough staff to open.

I’m double masking with a N95 on top.

Those long testing lines there gonna be a long hospital bed lines in about two weeks.

I'm working at a hospital that's out of d batteries so the janitorial staff has to steal them from soap and paper towel dispensers to power the hand sanitizers. They're just leaving rolls of paper towels and manual soap pumps out.

this happens all the time bc evs and unit secretaries ask for two packs at a time all weekend long. then the warehouse doesn't have batteries until Wednesday/Thursday and repeat. what's more exciting at my hospital is that the tank room regularly runs out of the small portable o2 tanks between 2 scheduled deliveries weekly. assuming the gas company even shows up on their scheduled days.

oh and I probably got a hot dose from someone in the breakroom yesterday. they were tested and went home today after feeling unwell after having a positive household member. cool gr8 rolling the dice on my October booster now.

Not sure how wise it is to put an N95 on top of a fabric or surgical mask, I'd be worried about that messing with the ability to get a good seal. I guess on one hand it's nice to have a fabric mask on the inside that you can wash, but this may counterintuitively be giving you less protection than just wearing an N95

If you absolutely must wear two masks, then put the N95 on first and make sure that it's well-sealed to your face.

I'M CONCERNED ABOUT A NUMBER OF THINGS
I got my Pfizer booster today.

I think I might already have covid but you can’t get tested in Australia at the moment while the path labs clear the backlog of samples and RATs are impossible to lay hands on.

The actual numbers are way higher, because they restricted access to PCR tests and are therefore not recording a lot of cases. We followed America's idea to reduce quarantine times to 5 days. Fun times in Alberta lol

Also keep in mind that if dad/mom get infected at work, or Billy at school, they bring it home to the whole family who will not bother to get tested because they know what it is.

Maybe before they might if tests were available but now they wont because they have been told its not that serious.

If you think its hard to get a test now wait till you see how hard it is to get a hospital bed in 2 weeks.

Yeah, I desperately need to go to my doctor because I need my meds, but I'm not looking forward to it. I'm not confident I'm healthy enough even with the vaccines, especially long term effects even with survival, because I'm already battling a bunch of other loving chronic illnesses and the last thing I want is for all that to get worse with a new one showing up and compounding on top of all them.

I get a hard time from some people because I'm vaxxed, so I shouldn't be afraid anymore but like, holy gently caress, you clearly don't know what my life was like before this. I absolutely need to worry still. My life isn't getting back to "normal" any time soon.

Really, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do about having two kids in two different schools where they refuse to go remote. I feel like I might as well start hitting movies and restaurants, because omicron is loving inevitable now.

A ton of my vaxxed and boosted fb friends are all getting it, too.

I could send them there in the best masks in the world but they've still got to eat lunch and be hanging out with other kids who don't give a gently caress.

This is near Los Angeles on the coast.

My local population actually wears masks all the time and tries pretty hard not to spread it.

If you have kids in a Chud area you are now infected if school has started.

Im probably loving uninfected.

I wouldn't be surprised if the company was only letting their FOH staff wear surgical masks because they're "friendlier" and banned N95s.
