Ugly In The Morning posted:I probably have COVID again but hooo boy is Omicron (after the vax and booster) baby town frolics compared to when I had COVID classic in March/April 2020. honestly if it wasn’t for the pandemic precautions I probably would have thought it was like, allergies or a mild cold but with extra fatigue. yeah. i think i probably have it right now but the symptoms are a raw sore throat in the mornings and a very mild cough at night. like i ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes yesterday (the treadmill was a june 2020 purchase, i did not leave my house with covid) i got it in september (also vaxxed) and that was just a day of light fever/chills/fatigue, like vaccine side effects basically

I woke up with a sore throat, sneezing, coughing, and clogged nose on Sunday. No fever. Minor headache. All evidence points to a cold, and a negative result from a rapid covid19 test has borne out that theory so far. Nevertheless, I went ahead and had scheduled a pcr test, which took place today. Hopefully it comes back negative.

Are we sharing here? I am a failed adult and parent. I live with my in-laws because my wife is disabled and I can't afford to put a roof over our heads. I have an associates degree I don't use in an industry I despise. I also wasted about $30,000 of my mother's money and spent a decade repaying student loans for a loving culinary arts degree which is absolutely useless in a kitchen. I would have been better getting a history degree. Also I just turned 42 and I am just this year teaching myself how to maintain a budget and attempting to eat properly. I do not have my poo poo together. I can barely even claim to pretend. |

*Looking at my half-finished basement bedroom/apartment with unpacked moving boxes and bad attempts at art scattered across the floor, a parrot eating ChexMix straight out of the bag on the computer desk I took from a deceased relative while trying to warm ourselves with two space heaters that must be strategically timed in use against other outlets' that I want to use, say for my computer or tv, at risk of tripping the one lovely breaker that lords over my withering lifestyle, debating whether to sleep until I have to work again, at my 28 hour/week full-time job that thankfully hired me due to my sketchy past, or if I just want to lay awake all night surfing the internet and hiding from my anxiety. Totally have my poo poo together as an adult... 😂 So don't feel too bad! |

I left Google a while ago and went to bing on sheer principle that bing was less evil than Google. But holy mother Bing's results are the worst thing ever. I would consider using Bing more if its landing page just showed me a page to submit a query and not load a million images and show me top stories and traffic. Not 1.89MB of data including a 300kb background image. At least it's not what paypal used to do, which was show an entire movie playing in the background while your browser struggles to show you a login form. All so you can send $5 to your buddy for getting you that coffee when you forgot your wallet.

I used bing a lot over goodle kuz the results actually worked better and really their image search is so much better, but I got a Fire Phone from amazon and it had bing and poo poo worked good plus bing lost 2 billion for amazon multiple years in a row giving out bonuses for using it and I made a bunch of money for a year searching poo poo on a bunch of accounts. but DDG is so good and I've used it for a long time. I look up weird poo poo sometimes I wouldn't want google telling cops I searched in the event of some random poo poo happening. I kept looking for this old movie 'How to murder your wife' and like if my ex had had a suspicious accident google would tell the cops I was looking up how to murder her... i learned that search terms are hard sometimes with most the inet being a link from the porn they wanna sell. Google never did much for me tho so jumping off was decent for me.
