There are enemies you have to stealth past but they're a small part near the end of it, the rest of it is more of the original exploration puzzle gameplay in a really cool new setting

Thanks for taking the time to do this, it's really fun! There are a ton of criticisms I could voice about FFXIV, it's very much NOT a perfect game... but they've been releasing 3-4 new major episodes of this game every year like clockwork for almost a decade and they just kept getting better and better building on each other all the way to the grand finale. No other individual game, no matter how good, can honestly compare to the culmination of all that... and even individually it's been a respectable contender for GOTY almost every year since like Heavenward in 2015. It's an astonishing feat with very few if any parallels in gaming, and by it's nature no other video game will be able to repeat any time soon.

2022 will have to be the year I push through to the good FF expansions. Due to SB hype I started the game a couple years back and found the base game pretty but kind of generic and I got bogged down in the post ARR travel back-and-forth questhell. I hear they’ve cut some of that back. If not for the monthly fee, I’d pick away at it here and there but if I’m paying for it, I feel like it should be my primary game. I’m more open to couch MMO’ing now so I think I’ll try on PS5 this time. That means they need to start selling the game again first.
