AGC: the education system is garbage, and teachers unions are trying to turn it into something useful, like compost.

Surprising how they decided to throw young women who gather in multi-racial groups under the bus in their latest cartoon, then. I'm only reacting to what they drew.

I mean seriously that Nib cartoon could've shown a CEO forcing sick, untested employees to show up for work in person despite being able to work from home, or school districts doing the same to teachers and students, or state governments doing everything they can to pooh-pooh even basic safety measures like mask mandates, or even people scoffing at mask regulations being enforced in nonsensical ways despite being overall a good idea. But no, the artist decided to show three presumably working class women enjoying a moment of leisure unsafely, and going on to imply that it's them who are the reason we might face another surge in cases. In short, it is A Bad Cartoon.

Space Cadet Omoly posted:....what? How? How are "Trans Athletics" in anyway a threat to women's rights? How is a trans woman or a trans man playing sports a threat to equal pay or combatting sexual harassment or abortion rights or literally anything else? You see, women are inherently and completely inferior to men in every way. So women's sports were invented because they just couldn't ever compete against men, because, you know, inherently inferior and all that. So trans women (trans men? what the heck is that?) are actually men, of course, and because they're actually men, they're naturally completely superior to every single woman on the planet, but because they're dishonest rapist scumbags, they decided they'd pretend to be women so they could have easy wins in, really, any sporting event, even if they've never done it before in their lives. See? Perfectly logical, really. Truly, a nefarious and sexist plan, crushing those poor weak women with their naturally superior giant muscles and pitch black five o'clock shadows and groping child-molesting huge mitts. I hope this helped explain how this works, for any future political cartoons you may see on the subject.

Apples are made to be eaten, so you could also argue that it has served its purpose unfettered by the 'worm' which will now turn the leftover parts into something that can grow more apples. Much like teachers who are used to working with the discarded scraps of funding and have to work what what they're thrown into something that will grow their students. I figure that probably wasn't this idiots intention.

But get this: Henig is also trans, he's a trans man, and he was able to compete in the women's event because he has yet to start hormonal treatment (i.e. testosterone). It's almost as if some people are naturally more talented in sports than others, and gender doesn't really enter into the question

It's hilarious how Branco keeps drawing Biden as a senile sleepy ghoul, meanwhile Garrison draws him as a dynamic well toned man of action. I guess Ben has figured out that locking him into just one archetype is way too limiting, but just look at that Joe. How am I supposed to know if Biden is good or bad, there's not even fangs?

I mean they think about politics like they think about sportsball teams, so it fits. There was this team called the Brooklyn Dodgers that played baseball. Everyone who was in the team in the 1940s is long since dead and buried, it's gone through several management changes, it's relocated clear across the country, but by god, it's still the same exact team. Likewise, the GOP's and Democratic party's politics have been completely switched, turned over on their heads; modern Republicans would gladly throw away the Reconstruction Amendments, and go to rallies waving the Gasden Flag. But they most certainly belong to the Party of Lincoln, and don't you dare say otherwise. What a loving dumbshit version of the Ship of Theseus.
