I think this show is so-so, it doesn't have the same appeal as Mando, but I think part of the problem is that the characters are too similar. We just saw a show about Helmet Man and his Desert Adventures, and this is just the same thing but with a "criminal empire" that has no crime and is run by someone who doesn't want to do anything criminal. It's all just kind of confusing, and they aren't giving us much to work with in terms of stakes or character motivation. That said, there are some fun scenes in here, and the stuff with Robert Feet and the Las Vegas Raiders was engaging. I liked seeing the Dances with Wolves stuff, and even though it didn't make a ton of sense it was entertaining and well made. I was disappointed that they killed all the Raiders offscreen, I was hoping the time with them was going to end with Boba figuring out why he wanted to be the boss. The Crime Lord stuff is weird and poorly paced, and the action has been mediocre in those scenes (that last chase was Very Bad, and even if it was done intentionally as a joke, it still didn't work). I think it has the opportunity to turn it around still, but there isn't a strong storyline that has grabbed my attention yet. Hopefully we figure out more about why Boba became the crime lord, why he wants to rule Tatooine, and why he has changed from a ruthless bounty hunter to a "man of honor" (I am assuming that is what the flashbacks will eventually teach us).

Honestly I don't disagree that the show so far has been fairly boring and lacking in impact. But Mando left me with enough goodwill that I'm not going to render judgment when we haven't seen a full arc or even a full half season. Mando season 2 started with what appeared to be a meaningless krayt dragon sidequest and what I thought was a really boring frog lady plot, but once Bo-Katan showed up it was all worth it. I was afraid I wasn't going to like this episode after seeing all the negative reactions, but the mod gang owns, Danny Trejo Rancor trainer owns, and the slow 70s cop show chase owns. Not as big of a fan of the Tuskens getting killed, but it doesn't look like everyone was wiped out? Hopefully they come back.
