Guess who is epileptic and really don't appreciate that thing being reposted a large number of times! Its not immediately seizure inducing and it isn't giving me the minor trigger effects right off the bat either, but It will gently caress me up with prolonged exposure. So yeah, if we could stop reposting it, that would be great.

Couldn’t say why and you have to treat them appropriately regardless because you don’t know who is honest in most cases. They usually aren’t in a good place anyway and compassion for them isn’t usually misplaced. Others have anxiety and think everything is their impending death. Most people that are hyperventilating with anxiety already get more panicked and think they are having a stroke or something when their hands start to go numb and clench up from the hyperventilation. People that faint think they had a seizure or were nearly dead or were allergic to the injection they got. Even when you explain these things they will continue to panic in these ways. It usually takes repeated reassurance and compassion.

Fair points, I definitely know the irrational panic spirals so I really shouldn't be throwing shade on anyone for going through that. Anyways, this derail should probably head on over to the epilepsy thread instead of holding the waves of gifs back.

I used to work with a doc who would take a prefilled 10cc saline flush syringe and blast pseuodoseizure/fake decreased LOC patients in the face with it to see if they flinched/were faking it. I worked critical care bedside for a decade and still got fooled by some of these fake seizures that wouldn't even react to large bore IVs being started, some people are extremely convincing.

Must be filled with some kind of high density gas. Probably H4Rn8. It has neutral air bouyancy at room temperature but weighs 500x more than nitrogen. Only explanation I can think of.
