it really seems like way more effort than you talk about. i'm not trying to pile on but i fail to see how this is easier (especially with constantly failing containers) than just using a wipe

Yeah, I learnt that ozone is fairly rough, I now vent that outside.

It might be more effort during the initial setup, but right now, when I get home the procedure is as follows:

  • enter garage
  • drop mask, keys, etc into box
  • walk into house
  • use google assistant routine to activate UV lamps for 30 mins
  • drop clothes in washing machine
  • take shower

The mask, my keys, everything else are disinfected and waiting for me when I need them next. I'm coming to the realisation that I may be on the extreme end of cautiousness even for this thread.

The nonsilicone parts of the body are polybutylene terephthalate. The straps are polyester/polyurethane, and the cradle is polyethylene.

This is normalcy now. Large portions of the population being fed to the number grinder every day with varying levels of protection. 40% higher mortality rate. Long lines for any healthcare. Everyone with a “X person I’m related to, grew up with, etc died of Covid” that increases in number every years. 80% of the world denying reality while shoveling down blooming onions and baby back ribs.

Go outside in your respirator and just look at restaurant, bars, stores. Most people have accepted this as reality. They may complain a little bit but they are all onboard with rolling the dice for a beer or appetizer. We are the people who haven’t accepted the new normal and want the world to be better or different. As we should of course.

Normalcy will never break down because it just keeps shifting year after year into the abyss.

The Milwaukee with rubber gasket are my favorites. The straps are adjustable and they are quite durable. I even use some scuba diving grease on the gasket to improve the seal.

The relevance to parachute use is that individuals jumping from aircraft without the help of a parachute are likely to have a high prevalence of pre-existing psychiatric morbidity. Individuals who use parachutes are likely to have less psychiatric morbidity and may also differ in key demographic factors, such as income and cigarette use. It follows, therefore, that the apparent protective effect of parachutes may be merely an example of the “healthy cohort” effect.

However sinister doctors may be, there are powers at large that are even more evil. The parachute industry has earned billions of dollars for vast multinational corporations whose profits depend on belief in the efficacy of their product.

I got it on sale for like $60 shipped and it's well worth it. Full price is steep but if you have the cash to spare go for it.

hahah after posting in Covid threads for years (lol gently caress you can say that now) I’ve realized I’m not even the median poster in terms of personal safety: i get carry out and will go inside restaurants to collect the food, I will occasionally drink a beer on the patio of a brewery (by myself, only if all other customers are inside, but it’s 30 degrees so that’s easy), and while I use a half mask the majority of the time I will occasionally step down to an aura if I need to talk to another human
