Even the most ironic or innocent brony was still into a pre-pubescent animated girls show. So yes, there were good people that were bronies, but they had the common thread of loving that little girls show. They had, in essence, touched the poop as we say. I’ve said some extremely racist poo poo “for the lols” but I honestly wish I hadn’t. It doesn’t age well and it’s terrible to remember. Just like I suspect the bronies feel nowadays. It's worth remembering that there are still plenty of people in our parents or grandparents generation who grew up as a discriminated against minority and didn't ascend to whiteness until well into adulthood. "Ironic" racism from our generation is still poking directly at racial trauma in living memory. It's not my cup of tea but I generally regard them as weird but overall harmless.
