We had a random imgur thread a while ago. It developed some fun and weird memes because a couple things were posted thousands of times apparently (monopoly guy, Spanish forum signatures, and some woman with a distinct name), but we all ended up hitting landmines of uncensored literal child porn and death/dismemberment Don't do random imgur. This isn't a joke or a meme - unless you've been trained to see the worst of the worst and have a trauma counselor on retainer, don't do it (and yes, we submitted plenty of fbi tips)

I discovered a website that loads multiple random imgur images and tiles them in an endless scroll, and spent quite a while just browsing hundreds of thousands of images. It was a mistake. I got real accustomed to the one dude with a huge open gash across his entire cheek. It must've been uploaded thousands of times because i came across it way too often, so often that i eventually checked the image URLs and they were different every time, not the RNG spazzing out. Then there's the weird 4-panel image of what looks like some teacher lady in "this is an office photo" and "these are her leaked nudes" variety paneled together in what i've started suspecting is some kind of revenge/shaming stint. She comes up waaay too often as well, more often than slash-cheeks. But still not as often as that one picture of the nude girl on her bed with a laptop, holding up a single sheet of paper with "hi babe x" written on it. I'd wager if you hit the random button on a site like a hundred times, your odds are like fifty-fifty you'll see her. Sometimes the text is slightly different, but the picture is always the same. All of that is the tame stuff. But every time you hit the button, you run the small but very real risk of seeing the charred and headless and limbless naked torso of a woman, or a gif of a prisoner's head being cut off with a chainsaw, or a picture of four dudes holding down a naked woman to let her bleed out from a slit throat over a steel grate, or maybe just a naked toddler splattered with sperm. (These are all things i've come across within the last month, so that poo poo is still out there) It's not worth it for the few funny pictures you might come across.
