curtadams posted:Among the many literary and logical idiocies of the current Mary Worth storyline is that if there were an island close enough to Wilbur's jumping off point for him to *drift* there in 12 hours or so, wouldn't they search it? It couldn't be more than a few miles. Um, they may yet find him…

So OK, Wilbur gets rescued but then what? Him and Estelle get back together/engaged after Wilbur for the fourth time promises to be a better person? Estelle willingly gets engaged to a man who got so drunk he literally fell off a boat in an explosive fit of pique? What's Moy's endgame here? How does this end in any way that could be both deemed healthy AND with Wilbur alive? It has to end with the mother of all eggs all over Mary Worth's meddling face

I think I can forgive Moy and Brigman if they're going to lean into the Wilbur comedy this well. Let it be known the Mark Trail narration box finally made an appropriate and good joke for itself. And finally Moz, god drat finally we get to the meat of this story we've been told 3 times in a row. Todays Jucika is a fanartist that I think really nails the spirit. The horny is a little heavy(women just have constantly erect nipples 24/7, right?) but it's 99% on point with the cute, cartoony and entertaining. Jucika But Modern NSFW Nudity

Storm P This one was slightly awkward to translate. Danish "hold op" means "stop it", while english "hold up" is more "wait a second". I think it's close enough to kinda work.

I'm not sure about the phrasing but things get held up that way in English too. What's the hold up?

While I sort of expect Wilbur to not be alone on the Island, it did appear pretty small in the one wide shot we saw of it. This was a miserable story to make a highschooler read. I detested it. Green Intern fucked around with this message at 20:43 on Jan 21, 2022 |

Put me in the camp of people that think Wilbur is going to try to survive Castaway style, and then one of the rich people who owns the private resort on that island is going to find him and be like "What the hell are you doing you idiot?" because Wilbur was too lazy to explore.Obnoxipus posted:seriously though, did anyone enjoy reading ethan frome? i need to study them like a rat in a cage. Considering how many lovely dudes thinks that a service worker smiling at them means they're flirting, I'm not surprised at how many people don't realize that waitstaff have to be nice because it's their job.
