So much stuff in WWE lately feels like they have seen what's worked in AEW, thought that it was because of some dumb reason then tried to do the dumb reason thing and have it backfire on them because AEW actually put thought into what they were doing. We've got Veer Is Coming because they saw how AEW built anticipation for Hook and they thought he got over because of a meme and nothing else. We had the Edge-Miz worked shoot promo immediately after Punk and MJF. They're leaking the Raw match and promo listings to Fightful because they've seen how AEW promotes everything on their show ahead of time but they can't actually promote it on anything official because Vince McMahon is likely to tear everything up and go in a different direction as the show is on the air. They changed NXT to something they thought was "new and fresh" because they repeated so many times that AEW was only successful because it was new and fresh and convinced themselves it was for no other reason. And if they're not trying to badly copy AEW they're whining about how they have potty mouths and the nice ladies are forced to get cut up. How long is it until we see some Billionaire Shad skits with Bryan Danielson and CM Punk caricatures saying poo poo non-stop and visibly blading all over themselves?
