Well, that’s the beauty of nationalism — it makes enlistees fail to realize this crucial fact until about a split second before that bullet goes through their heads on the battlefield. Hope the patriotism was worth it dumbasses

I'm sure they'll have a proprietary substance that will be applied to the plane every few weeks that will keep it rust free (also as long as it isn't exposed to aerobic environments).

that looks like flash rust. it happens to uncoated steel in salt air. it’s like a fine powder. bet fucks with the stealth stuff. that’s quite the gently caress up.

they like to mix metals on these new ships for performance reasons. but if you let them touch you get galvanic corrosion. the same thing happened when they started doing aluminum houses on earlier vessels.

The F35 rust is iron in the stealth coating. It does gently caress up the stealth but it isn't structural and the stealth coating is made to be stripped and reapplied. They rotate out airframes so there are theoretically always airplanes with fresh coats ready to do things that actually require low observability on radar. It is boondoggle by design.

Real hurthling!
Sep 11, 2001

they should just make a missile that shits out a huge rear end cloud of radar visible crap over miles and miles and have some normal rear end jets fly through it so the anti air cant target them

by they i mean the level designers at bandai namco project aces cause that would be a fun ac level.
