the condition is pretty real though. Most of the time it'll read something like "destroy target creature that blocked or was blocked this turn". Definitely usable, but it won't always be easy to hit the creature you want to hit

I hope that, like all cursed NFT cartoons, they have a scene where they explain to the audience what NFTs are using the exact same punchline that all those things use.

Parents can also exploit their children.

I can guarantee you a 9 year old doesn't even know what an NFT is, let alone can consent to his art being used for one

That was my point.
His mother "happens" to be a musician and the one person they mention buying one is a DJ. :thunk:

the jp scene can be a bit different because there's a bunch of artists who are took by it and made a social circle and a few of the edges are effectively filed off (including the obvious point of western nft art is fuckin ugly). there's plenty of people who just view it as a new trend alongside vrchat et al. you can see the number of unique sales on the opensea account for the kid.

loling at seeing jacob from fakku bought one but that guy put out a series of skateboard decks with eromangaka art on them so hes like the most likely guy to be there really

We need more women in STEM, and by that, I mean skateboarding, television, esports, and magic.
I'm still working my way through The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (thank you all again for pointing me to the broadcast order; I can't imagine having watched it chronologically). While doing so, I became curious about what were the other goon consensus "best shows" of past years. I figured I could figure that out pretty easily by going through the records here. Then I went through the list and flagged the top one or two shows from each year, sometimes skipping further down the list if the very top ones didn't appeal to me for whatever reason. Here's what I came up with:

2006 Haruhi Suzumiya*
2007 Death Note* / Gurren Lagann
2008 Kaiba
2009 K-On!
2010 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood / Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt
2011 Madoka Magica*
2012 Chihayafuru
2013 Attack on Titan
2014 Ping Pong
2015 Shirobako / One Punch Man*
2016 Mob Psycho 100
2017 Girls' Last Tour
2018 A Place Further Than The Universe
2019 Kaguya-sama: Love is War
2020 Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!
2021 Odd Taxi

Asterisks added to shows I've watched (or am about to finish). Feels like a pretty mix of genres here. Anyway, thought I'd share this to spark nostalgic feelings of shows folks here loved and maybe forgot as time passed.

They're better at doing the hip hop scenes (although the Japanese language track is still good in its own way) and I'll never pass on a good Steven Jay Blum performance (even if it seems this one might have been off union).

I think the last anime I watched weekly was...Unlimited Bladeworks, probably. And the only show I remember watching between then and my recent re-dive into anime is Little Witch Academia. So it's a pretty fair guess that I haven't watched any shows of the last decade

I wasn't actually trying to say that revstar is the best anime of 2018 (though I think it's fairly unlikely it gets dethroned). I just wanted to say, they should put it on their list, but didn't say many words. I've added Further to mine.

yeah...

right now anime is using up more of my time than non-ffxiv video games because it's raid season. After raid night finishes there's still a few hours until bed but I'm too tired to do anything active. So I watch a few episodes of an anime. Then even once we're done for the week I'm hooked, so I keep watching on the other days, too

e: meaning I'm actually making decent progress despite my list rapidly expanding to be every good show of the last decade
